I've got these brown shoes, see, and I've had them for about 3 years now, and it's time to get
some new ones. Actually I already got some new ones, a different kind, about a year ago but a
few months ago the sole started separating on one of them. Besides, they give me nasty static shocks
in the office. My 3-year old shoes never do this.
I found my old shoes at a discount shop (seconds and clearance) and paid $60. There was nothing
discernably wrong with them (and they've lasted 3 years so far). I haven't seen brown ones there
since then. I don't need new black shoes. The shop owner can't tell me when more brown ones will
arrive. It's a clearance shop, remember?
I just found out that these shoes retail for $110. They're great shoes. I guess I have to stop
being Terry Tight-ass and just pay full price.
