"Awww, he's got the hiccups. The little baby hiccups!"
"Well, what else would he have, the hippopotamus hiccups?"
" - hic! - "
My son is eleven days old now,
and I figured it's about time I wrote something here. It's not so much that I haven't had the
time (sleep), but rather that
I really couldn't be stuffed (sleep).
Something about being kept awake all night (sleep) and going
slightly delirious with all the changes and (sleep) you start
trying to find sleep (sleep) everywhere you can. And when
you're not feeling sleepy you're still too tired to make sense of anything. So my computing, apart
from a concentrated burst of Mini Moo page
updates, has been limited (sleep)
mainly to clearing various e-mail boxes.
Did I mention that I've been kinda tired in the past eleven days?
Most of you already would have heard about Alexander last week. Thanks to all who sent
congratulations and best wishes. Isn't he the best? Not that I'm biased in any way.
I'm going to make one of those stupid yellow "Baby on Board" signs for the car, but I'm
going to make it say "World's Cutest Baby on Board" instead. What? Well, you're just jealous.
I will admit, actually, that he does bear a slight resemblance to Yoda. If only he could
use a light saber the same way, and move stuff around by waving his hands and grimacing (he's got
the grimacing part down well, especially when he has wind). If he was as powerful as Yoda,
he could even use the Force to change his own nappies! Now that would be something.
Damn, I shouldn't have mentioned nappies. I think someone needs me.
