It's winter here, but somehow we brought the sunny weather with us. Alex has been working on his tan, such as it is (you know how babies are supposed to be kept out of the sun). We let him indulge for a few minutes now and then.

All in all he's been really good - happy, smiling, thrilled to meet about fifty-seven new people each day, and only complaining when we keep him out on the party circuit too long and he misses his afternoon nap. Oh, and sometimes his teething pains come round again and make him really cranky. Poor little bugger.
He's changed a lot since we arrived last week. He's rolling all over the place and trying his best to crawl, but he hasn't quite figured out that he needs to get his tummy off the ground first. He loves to eat, too. He gets Glop* twice a day now, and we've figured out that he prefers sweet Glop (pear, banana, etc.) in the morning. Nothing savoury before midday. Just like his mum! But if tonight's Glop-fest was any indication, he can show his cousin Jenna a thing or two about eating peas.
Everyone here just loves the way his hair sticks up. It's a nice change from having people threatening with scissors, or worse+ every time they see us. We're going to keep it like this as long as we can, so we can amass volumes of embarrassing photos to show his mates on his twenty-first birthday.
Oh, and I know it's really November 22nd in Australia right now, but it just feels too weird post-dating this entry.
